Privacy policy

Last updated 23 October 2026Effective from 22 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Lichfield Street Academy collects when you buy or take a course on this website, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Lichfield Street Academy is the training academy of Lichfield Street Aesthetics Group. The data controller is Lichfield Street Aesthetics Group, operated by Kevin Langley as a sole trader, at 21c Lichfield Street, Tamworth, B79 7QD, United Kingdom.

This policy is written under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Your student account

To give you access to your courses we keep your name, your email address, the courses you are enrolled on, when you enrolled, your progress through each course (the lessons you have completed and your completion status) and your quiz answers and scores. If you studied with us on our previous course platform, these details were moved here so that you keep your courses and your progress.

We use them to let you sign in, to show you your courses and progress, to issue your course certification and to keep a record of your training. The legal basis is the contract between us for the course you bought or were enrolled on.

When you buy a course, or Kevin gives you an access key, we keep the key, the course it unlocks, the email address it was issued to and when it was used.

You sign in with a link we email to you. We store only a scrambled form of each link, and a link works once.

Buying a course

Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor, on Stripe's own secure page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe gives us your name, email address and the payment amount and status, which we keep as a record of your purchase for as long as UK tax law requires (currently six years).

Your card statement shows the payment as KL* LichfieldStAcademy.

Emails we send

We email you sign-in links, confirmation of your enrolment, and service messages about your courses (for example, news that a course has moved). Emails are sent from our own domain using Resend, an email delivery service. We do not add you to a marketing list.

If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the course you ask about and your message, by email through Resend, and a copy is kept in our own records so that no enquiry is lost. We use it only to reply to you. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending it.

Course files

Course videos, PDFs and downloads are stored with Cloudflare and are shown only to students enrolled on that course.

Website statistics

A cookie-free page-view counter run by RankShark records only the page address, the referring page or site and any campaign tag in the link. It sets no cookies; the IP address is used only momentarily to block abuse and is never stored.

We also use Google Analytics, run by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the academy: the pages viewed, how long they are viewed, the type of device and browser, and the approximate area a visit comes from. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) for this. It starts only after you first interact with a page or a few seconds after the page has loaded, and it does not show us who you are.

Cookies

We use one cookie of our own, which keeps you signed in to your courses. It is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, and it is removed when you sign out or after 30 days. Google Analytics sets its own statistics cookies, described under Website statistics; you can block them in your browser settings without affecting your courses.

Who else handles your information

Cloudflare hosts this website, its database and its course files. Resend delivers our emails. Stripe processes payments. Google provides Google Analytics. Each acts on our instructions and keeps your information secure. Some of them may process information outside the UK under safeguards approved by UK law.

How long we keep it

We keep your student account, enrolments and progress for as long as you have access to your courses, so that you can come back to them and we can confirm your training. Purchase records are kept for six years. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we will keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To use any of these rights, email info@lichfieldstreet.co.uk or write to us at the address above.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
